Read the Toll Terms Before the First Toll

Turn the rental agreement into a short list of questions. The portal records your review status; it does not upload, interpret, or approve the agreement.

Agreement questions Check an item only after you have located the answer in the written terms or received it from the vehicle provider. Is a toll program automatically activated?Record whether activation is automatic, opt-in, per-use, or unclear. Is there a daily, per-rental, or per-use administrative fee?Do not assume the personal tag removes a contractual fee. Does the agreement permit a personal toll tag?Confirm any limits on tag type, vehicle class, or mounting. Does the vehicle contain a built-in toll device?Follow written instructions; do not open, close, cover, remove, disable, or alter rental equipment unless permitted. How are tolls processed if the personal tag is not read?Note whether plate-based billing or a rental service may apply. Can tolls or fees appear after the vehicle is returned?Find the provider’s stated timing instead of assuming instant posting. Which records should be retained?Examples may include the agreement, return receipt, toll method terms, and your own trip notes. Are additional drivers covered by the same terms?Check whose travel and toll use the agreement addresses.
